Office of Research and Sponsored Programs

The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) manages the pre-award administration of research grants and contracts funded by federal, state, and private agencies.

Research Administration Officers/Sponsored Project Specialists (Project Officers) assist established investigators, junior faculty, and postdoctoral fellows in identifying funding opportunities and obtaining support for their research projects. ORSP Project Officers also provide guidance regarding agency guidelines/instructions and proposal and budget development. They work closely with administrators and investigators to ensure that proposal and awards comply with the agency and the UConn Health Center's policies and procedures prior to providing institutional approval and submission.

Members of the ORSP team also provide support, education, and training related to grant-writing and electronic research administration (eRA).
