InfoEd eRA System
InfoEd's Proposal Development module has been phased in to
the UConn Health Center research community and can only be used to develop NIH-bound
proposals at this time. Our current version of InfoEd (v.11.801.01)
supports system-to-system (S2S) transmission of all of
the NIH mechanisms which have transitioned from paper to
electronic filing via Grants.gov. Here is a partial list:

Researchers will use the
Grants.gov web portal to develop other Federal proposals
requiring electronic submission with Adobe Forms through the
Grants.gov system. Grants.gov also serves as the health center's
contingency mechanism for submitting NIH proposals in the event
that the InfoEd system should encounter technical difficulties.
In order to use the grants.gov system, users must have a
compatible version of either Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat
Professional on their PC or Mac computer.
Adobe Reader 9.1 has been released, tested, and is
compatible to use for Adobe Forms applications submitted to
Grants.gov. For more information, please visit the
Grants.gov FAQ section on Adobe Reader.

When watching the Proposal Development Training Video:
The interactive table of contents will not become functional
until the file is 100 percent downloaded. This usually takes 4
to 5
minutes. You can monitor its status by viewing the ticker at the
bottom of the video. To view the video in full screen mode,
right-click your mouse on the video and select Zoom → Full
Screen.
